By using Silence Remover, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Silence Remover is a browser-based utility that detects and shortens quiet sections in an audio file and produces an MP3 result. It is not a noise-removal service, transcription service, digital audio workstation, backup service, or professional editing guarantee. Browser and operating-system support varies.

The current service is provided without an account and without charge. We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features as the product develops.

Your files and rights

You keep all rights to files you process. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to use, edit, and export the audio. Do not use the service to infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights.

Audio processing occurs locally in your browser. You are responsible for reviewing the output before publishing, distributing, or relying on it. Keep your original file; Silence Remover is not a backup service.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse the website, attempt to bypass security controls, disrupt availability, distribute malware, probe infrastructure without authorization, or use the service in violation of applicable law.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that every format will decode, that every silence will be detected, that quiet speech will always be preserved, or that the output will be suitable for a particular production. Preview the result and adjust the controls before use.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Silence Remover and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost files, lost profits, lost data, or production delays arising from use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the service during the twelve months before the claim; for the current free service, that amount is zero, subject to applicable law.

Third-party software

The local media-processing pipeline uses open-source software subject to its own licenses. Applicable notices are included with the project. Third-party browser and hosting services are governed by their own terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date above identifies the current version. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
